Resting in Him

As of July 1 children 2-14 yrs. old adopted from
China will now be tested for TB. One family I
know has been told they will have to stay 5
days longer for the results. That is almost 3
wks. in China! If they test positive they will
have to get a chest x ray and if that shows
something the child may have to stay and
take meds. for 6 months. Sigh.
Just when I am feeling discouraged because
another hurdle has been added to the race,
He reminds me He will never leave me nor
forsake me and He is in control.

From my Jesus Calling Devotional.

REST IN ME, MY CHILD. Give your mind a break from
planning and trying to anticipate what will happen.
Pray continually, asking My Spirit to take charge of
the details of this day. Remember that you are on a
journey with Me. When you try to peer into the
future and plan for every possibility, you ignore
your constant Companion who sustains you moment
by moment. As you gaze anxiously into the distance,
you don't even feel the strong grip of My hand holding
yours. How foolish you are, My child!

Remembrance of Me is a daily discipline. Never lose
sight of My Presence with you. This will keep you resting
in Me all day, every day.

Pray without ceasing
1 Thessalonians 5:17

My soul, wait silently for God
alone,
For my expectation is from Him
Psalm 62:5
