Three Months Home

Jaden just adores her big sis! She is always bossing helping her out.
Sarah is very good with her. Since Jaden never stops talking we figure Sarah will be speaking English very well real soon! That is if she can ever get a word in with chatter-box Jaden. :)
Sarah has been saying single words for things like banana, yogurt and many others. She has always said, "Thank you." She has surprised me lately with saying some little phrases in English. Last night I was looking for something and she said, "On dining room table." Also "I don't know, you decide." "Mom I don't understand English." She was reminding me because I was talking away to her. I know she doesn't understand but I still chat away. ;)               Last Wednesday Sarah had her MRI. She was very nervous. So I explained through the hand held translator everything that was going to take place. I showed her via the internet what the machine looked like. We even had Lu, our sweet sister in Christ (UofA student from China) explain everything in Chinese. Thanks to all my prayer warrior friends she did very well. She is such a brave girl.
Every once in awhile I am surprised when I start to download pictures
a certain four yr. old loves to take pictures! Ceiling shots, the floor,
kitchen cabinets, even her toy cars! Oh, and I know she has a partner
in crime because Jaden is in many of the pictures also. ;) This is a
recent picture I found on my camera taken by Jaden.

Freedom

It warmed up so we let one butterfly go.

Jaden surprised me a couple of days later when
she told me the other butterflies wanted to be free.
So she carefully one by one looked them over and
said, "Her goodbyes."
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

Five Painted Ladies!

We have watched our tiny little caterpillars bring the Very Hungry Caterpillar story to life! As we watched the teeny tiny little twigs go from larvae into fat chunky caterpillars, that looked like they would explode at anytime. Then waiting impatiently patiently, well some of us, a certain little four year old hasn't mastered patience yet, ;) we watched as they started to grow into the pupal stage and then hardened into chrysalids. Once this happens we put them in their special home. While in the cocoon they undergo a remarkable transformation. Before we knew it we had five beautiful butterflies! (Painted Ladies) I love watching butterflies. They are so delicate and beautiful as the gracefully flutter from one flower to to the next or sometimes just hover over a plant. They remind me of the transformation that takes place in us when we ask Jesus into our hearts. He starts an incredible work in our hearts,
changing us from the inside out.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation; old things have passed
away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17.

The Lord starts the amazing process of working in our
hearts changing us from the inside out.  We now are
a work in progress....

Being confident of this, that
He who began a good work in you will carry it on
to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians  1:6

It is a struggle as the butterfly works its way out of the cocoon. Yet at the same time this is the way that God uses to strengthen the butterfly so it can fly. God uses struggles and various trials to grow and strengthen us in Him.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers,
whenever you face trials of many kinds,
because you know that the testing of your
faith develops perseverance.
  James 1:2-3

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13

Except we won't flutter away like a butterfly......

Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles:
They will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31
The very same day Sarah shared what she had been taught about God.
Our butterflies were working their way out of their cocoons. I was able
to share a little with her.

Project Chosen

Today is our day for our adoption stories to be shared on
Project Chosen. With sharing two stories in one, I shortened
them up. I will say it was truly God's hands in both of our
adoptions.
Click on Project Chosen on my sidebar.
Jeanette thank-you so much for taking the time and sharing all
these beautiful stories. I love seeing how God moved in so many
hearts and His faithfulness as He brought all these sweet children
home to their forever families! I know there are so many more
families with awesome stories of how God moved in their hearts
to bring home His little ones. Even some where I watched Him
move mountains.
